If You’re Ready To Start Healing…
We want to help you transform your relationship with your soul self into one of self-acceptance, self-compassion and self-love.
The Soul Centre was created for women who are struggling with their relationship with food, body image, sense of worth, and constant stress and discomfort with themselves. They’ve experienced adverse childhood experiences and emotional neglect from their past that has left them feeling insecure and cut off from their true self.
Through the Soul Sessions Podcast and Soul School Online Courses, women find freedom from their past trauma, food, weight, and body image concerns, and learn how to connect, nourish, and heal their whole selves: body, feelings, mind, and soul. We provide self-development tools to support healing and spiritual growth to women, whether they are at the start of their self-exploration journey or have been on a journey for some time.
Through support and encouragement, we want to help you learn how to nourish, nurture and be true to yourself.
About The Soul Centre
Launched in 2020, The Soul Centre arose out of a desire to make a greater impact on the health and wellness of women all over the world. Our mission is to help reunite women with their true selves and form a strong, loving relationship with themselves and their bodies. We seek to work with women who are looking for recovery from their past, and struggles with body image, yo-yo dieting, emotional and disordered eating.
At The Soul Center, we offer a non-pathologizing, holistic, forward-thinking, and soulful perspective for transformation and growth to help women reconnect with their essence, inner beauty, strength, wisdom, and wholeness. We work to shift the focus away from “what’s wrong with you” and focus on “what happened to you?”, and “how is that impacting your life in the present moment?” With guidance through our healing resources, we deep dive into the underlying causes of your struggles, so you can heal, unlock your potential and move on from your past into your future.
Healing happens not when we try to rid ourselves of our pain and suffering, but when we turn towards it. When we welcome in the unknown parts of ourselves–– that feel broken and unworthy–– and we love them to bits.
Hi, my name is Jodie and I’m the founder of The Soul Centre. I am a Master’s qualified Soul-Centered Psychotherapist, Trauma Expert and Mind Body Eating Coach. I founded The Soul Centre after 20 years of professional experience and training, and a lifetime of personal experience.
My hope for The Soul Centre is to provide resources and tools to help women heal by seeing that the struggles, symptoms, and problems they are experiencing are a response or a way of coping with the abuse, neglect and trauma from their past.
I launched The Soul Centre because I know wholeheartedly that self-exploration and self-inquiry works, because I’ve been where you are today.
I know what it is like to feel broken inside, worthless, and like a problem that can’t ever be fixed.
Through the Soul Centre, my mission is to give back to other women after healing from my own experiences with early childhood interpersonal trauma, addiction, and an eating disorder.
Finding a depth psychotherapist who showed me unconditional love, empathy, and acceptance guided me in such a way that I was able to make a series of healthy choices, heal myself and my relationships, and turn my unhappy life around.
Since my recovery, I have dedicated my life’s work to helping others realize their self worth and find happiness, love, and self-confidence by deeply understanding that they are innately whole and good enough just as they are.
Why heal with me?
I have a robust 20 year career in psychotherapy, coaching and working with women with addiction, codependency, complex trauma, emotional eating and the trance of unworthiness. In fact, I was the first Master’s qualified psychotherapist in Australia certified as an Eating Disorder Coach with the Carolyn Costin Institute (USA) and as a Dynamic Eating Psychology and Mind Body Eating Coach through the Institute for the Psychology of Eating (USA).
Throughout my career, I have travelled the world participating in the most up-to-date training so that I can best serve the women I set out to help through psychology, science and spirituality. Some of my highlights with global leaders in the field have included training, workshops, and discussion with Carolyn Costin, Geneen Roth, Dr Anita Johnston, Marion Woodman, Brené Brown and Oprah Winfrey.
